Facts, Trivia, Memories and More about Roberto Kelly

Traded: November 3, 1992 - Roberto was traded to the Cincinnati Reds for Paul O'Neill and Joe DeBerry. Unarguably one of the all-time great deals the Yankees have made in their illustrious history as Paul O'Neill would go on to win four World Series Championships in pinstripes and became a fan favorite in the process.

Re-Acquired: On January 26, 2000, the Yankees signed Roberto as a free agent. His second stint with the Yankees was less successful than his first, lasting only 10 games and 25 at-bats.

Highlights:
June 6, 1991
- Roberto goes 5-for-5 in an 11-2 Yankee win at Yankee Stadium. Four of his hits were singles, but the other was a two-run home run in the Yankees 6 run second inning off Twins starter Allan Anderson. His other RBI came on a fourth inning, two-out single to score Pat Kelly and give the Yankees a 7-1 lead. Roberto would also steal three bases on the afternoon and score two runs. The performance helped Scott Kamieniecki improve to 2-0 on the season.
