Traded: October 22, 1974: In one of the more heartbreaking trades in Yankee history, General Manager Gabe Paul traded long-time fan favorite Bobby to the San Francisco Giants in a straight-up, one-for-one swap for Bobby Bonds.  Bobby spent one year in pinstripes before being shipped to the California Angels in the deal that brought Ed Figueroa and Mickey Rivers to the Bronx.

Re-Acquired: June 26, 1979: Bobby was re-acquired from the Chicago Cubs in return for minor leaguer Paul Semall.

Notes: Paul from Wading River notes that Bobby wore #27 when first re-acquired from the Cubs, then switched with Darryl Jones.

Bobby greatest game was August 6, 1979 when Bobby drove in all 5 runs against Baltimore on the day they buried Thurman.
