Facts, Trivia, Memories and More about Mark Hutton

Transactions

July 31, 1996: Mark was traded by the Yankees to the Florida Marlins for David Weathers, missing out at his first shot at a post-season appearance and World Series Championship. In a bit of bad luck, almost one year later (July 27, 1997), Mark was traded from the Florida Marlins to the Colorado Rockies in exchange for Craig Counsell, making two consecutive years he was traded in mid-season from a team that would go on to win the World Series.

Highlights

July 23, 1993: A highly touted rookie, in Mark's first career appearance he faced off against the California Angels at Yankee Stadium, holding them to two runs (one earned) and three hits, with four walks and five strikeouts in a dominating eight inning performance.  It also marked his first, and sadly (and surprisingly) only victory in his Yankee career.  The Yankee victory on this night improved the Yankee record to 54-44 on the season and moved them into a three-way first place tie with the Red Sox and Blue Jays.
