One of the Yes Network's most aired shows are their Yankee Classics.  Generally, during the regular season on off days and mornings before a game when there was none the day before, you can catch the Yankees Classics.  Then they fill up a lot of the schedule with them during the off-season.  As a Yankee fan, I think it's a great idea, although the ranking of some games as "Classics" can sometimes be questions.

Well, this is an attempt to log as many of the Yankee Classics that have been shown including some commentary and rankings on whether they really are classics or...not so much.

Regular Season vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Alex Rodriguez' 600th Home Run
Wednesday, August 4, 2010
Final Score: 5-1
Yankee Classic Rating (1 low to 10 high): 1
Alex Rodriguez hits career home run #600 off Toronto's Shaun Marcum. Unfortunately, for "classics" status, the home run came in the first inning, the Yankees led 3-0 after three innings and Phil Hughes was solid. In other words, after the milestone home run, there's no real reason to watch the rest of the game. Even die hard Alex Rodriguez fans have no reason to stick around, likely making this one that will quickly become a rare and quickly forgotten "Yankee Classic." One interesting note. Alex's 600th career home run came exactly three years to the date from his 500th...also a "Yankees Classic" by the way.
