The New York Yankees were the first team to begin regularly wearing uniform numbers. A tradition dating back to 1929.  This website attempts to make it easy to find who wore what numbers in what year.  It's not 100% complete, so if there's any information you can help us with, please feel free to contact us.

Regular Season vs. Boston Red Sox
Yanks Beat Boston in 15
Friday, August 07, 2009
Final Score: 2-0, 15 inn.
Yankee Classic Rating (1 low to 10 high): 2
I haven't had time to post any of the details of this game yet.  This is the game where Alex Rodriguez broke the scoreless tie in the 15th inning with a walk-off home run.  I rate it a two because I'm not a fan of pitcher's duels and there really isn't much to watch in this game outside of a few half innings and the eventual game winner.  Hey, it's great to watch any classic where the Yankees beat Boston, but despite the great finish, there's just not much else to draw my interest. Of course, you can decide for yourself...I'm not telling you what to do with your spare time.
